Fixed-Sum Levy Renwal Information

Northwestern Local Schools will have a Fixed-Sum Levy Renewal that will appear on the May 5, 2026 ballot. In 2016 our community approved a ten-year Emergency Levy that provides $456,400 annually to support the day-to-day operations of our district. This levy is set to expire in 2026.
Due to recent legislative changes, districts are now limited to renewing these levies as fixed-sum levies for a period of five years. This means:
This is a renewal—not a new tax
There is no increase in taxes for homeowners
The levy will continue to provide previously approved funding for our schools
