General Announcement
Attention sophomores - if you are interested in running for a junior class officer position, please pick up a ballot in Mrs. Kimmich's room. These must be filled out and returned to Mrs. Nupp no later than the end of the day on Wednesday, May 8.
Drive your tractor to school on Friday, May 10th. Be in the sophomore parking lot no later than 7am. (Tractors ONLY! Four-Whelers, mowers, side by sides and etc. will NOT be permitted).
Seniors: There are picture forms available in the front office or from Mr. Martin for your class photo that will be taken during graduation practice on 5/23.
The Spring Pops concert for MS/HS will be held on Monday, May 6 @ 7pm.
" Are you a senior? Did you participate in the Red Cross Blood Drive and donate a minimum of two times in your high school career? If so, you are eligible for a $250 scholarship from the Red Cross. Pick up an application from Ms. Woodruff and return it by the end of the day on May 3, 2024"
Northwestern High School seniors, please check your school email for information regarding graduation and other important end-of-the-year dates. There are hard copies available of the information in the office, and there is an alternative digital version of the information on Northwestern Local Schools website.
Any student that filled out a parking permit application on Final Forms and did not receive one yet, please stop in at the front office and get your hang tag. Parking tags are to be kept in your vehicle.
Student Services Announcements
Any student who is planning to take Financial Management as a summer course should stop in Student Services and pick up an information form. This is a required course for graduation and is worth .5 credit. The course will be accessed through Google Classroom. Interested students must join the Google Classroom (code: 6lzm3xu) by May 13, and the $75 fee must be paid to Mrs. Reed in the front office by May 17. All assignments and tests must be completed NO LATER THAN Friday, August 9, 2024. An additional fee of $50 will be charged to any student who wishes to continue the course after that date. Information forms are also available on the Student Services webpage.
Classes: June 10 – August 5, 2024, at 11:59pm
Transcripts: Mailed to schools starting August 12
Cost: $95 per .5 credit course
Seniors, please be sure to check Naviance for Scholarship opportunities. New scholarships are being received and posted. You don’t want to miss out on a chance to get help with college expenses.
Seniors, if you have requested a recommendation from a teacher through Naviance please check that they received the request. Naviance has had some technical errors, and your teachers may not even realize that you have requested a recommendation.
